The Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) has removed Hon. Farah Maalim as the Deputy Party Leader. This decision was reached during a National Executive Council (NEC) and Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting held on January 22, 2025, at the WDM Secretariat in Karen, Nairobi.
The NEC/PG meeting determined that Hon. Farah Maalim had repeatedly made remarks that were in violation of Article 7.3 of the Wiper Democratic Movement Constitution. As a result, the party resolved to relieve him of his duties with immediate effect. Party officials have formally communicated this decision, instructing the necessary updates in WDM’s official records and requesting an official acknowledgment to finalize the process.
As Wiper Democratic Movement continues to restructure, the party remains committed to maintaining discipline and unity among its ranks. The leadership transition is part of a broader effort to strengthen party structures and ensure alignment with the WDM’s core values and vision.
With these changes, Wiper Democratic Movement members are urged to support the party’s decisions and work together toward a stronger and more unified movement. The party leadership remains focused on its mission of championing good governance and delivering progress for the people of Kenya.
